What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
I was debating between being a doctor or an aerospace engineer when I joined the rocket team in my college. I had such a fun time with them out in the desert launching rockets I knew I found my people.

Rock climbing, cooking, camping
Favorite places you’ve visited or would love to travel to?
I loved Japan for the food and culture. I would love to travel to Ireland or Turkey or Vietnam. Those places have such a proud and rich history.
Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am closest with my younger sister. We have the same sense of humor and she is also very independent like me. I also am an older brother and want to protect and mentor her.
Who are the most important people in your life?
My family are the most important people in my life. I come from a big blended family and I love helping and spending time with them.
What would you consider to be your greatest strengths?
I am intelligent and pick things up really quick. I also am very social and make friends easily.
What are your special talents?
I can always find common ground with people and figure out how to make them laugh.
What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I am very proud of my career and the fact that I get to design things that fly to space. I love contributing to something big and beyond myself.
What is something people would be pleasantly surprised to learn about you?
That I am really into music. I have an eclectic taste but I love seeing live performances and connecting with their music.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I will be still working as an engineer designing things to help humanity (space, energy, transportation) and I will have a family of my own.
What is one change you wish to see in the world?
I wish that we could be more united and find more common ground between people. I think most people are nuanced and multifaceted and people are quick to dismiss that.

Why do you want to become a sperm donor?
Seeing how much my nephews look like me has made me appreciate how meaningful that genetic connection can be. I’d love to help give others the opportunity to experience that same kind of connection by expanding their options when choosing a donor.
